The Lake Park Lancer gymnastic team is composed of many unique personalities bundled in multiple sizes and shapes. To help our visitors get to know the 2008 varsity team members better, a quick profile of each starting gymnast has been included.

What is your gymnastics nickname? Half and Half

In what events do you compete in (most often)? I am a Rings specialist.

When did you begin competitive gymnastics (Grade) I started in freshman year, 9th grade.

What do you like most about gymnastics or a specific event?I like working on Rings because it is the only event where the apparatus can move and you have to control the Rings and your body at the same time.

What do you least like about gymnastics or a specific event? I hate getting rips on my hands.

What do you do to prepare for an event? I listen to Elton John in a cold dark room.

Use one to three words that describe you. Swinger!

What do you consider your greatest gymnastic accomplishment - so far? I'd say taking 14th at State last year, with the 10th best score, hitting my best routine of the season.

What hobbies do you have? I like to build model rockets and play video games.

What other sports do you participate in? I wrestle and play quaterback on the football team for IHSA sports. I love to snowboard and scuba dive, too.,

What is your favorite LPHS subject?  Why? I'd say AP Physics because it has practical everyday applicaitons.

What is your favorite food? Lobster.

What is your favorite TV show? CSI

What is your favorite movie? Night at the Roxbury for its socially redeeming values.

Who is your favorite band or musician? Queen

What is your favorite website? www.youtube.com

What is your favorite song? Don't Get Me Wrong

What is your favorite book? The Alex Rider series

What video game do you like the most? Bio Shock

What is something people should know about you, but probably don't? When it comes to food, I don't eat "ends".

If a movie were made about your life, what would its title be? Little Man, Big Mind

Cubs or Sox? Sox.

What celebrity, television or movie character, or other famous person have you been told you resemble? I've been told I look like the young Obi Wan Kenobi from the first 3 Star Wars movies.

If you have pets, what can you tell us about them? I have 2 siberian huskies, Blizzard and Keychouck. One of them is really smart and the other is .... lovable. Nathan Bracher calls Blizzard Snowball.

What one word would you use to describe boys high school gymnastics? Pure.

When you are done with gymnastics at Lake Park, how would you like to be remembered? I'd like to be remebered as a state finalist who finished with a top 5 score and who helped my team finish in the top 3 at state.

What is the name of the song you would sing on American Idol? What artist? I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor.

Describe your dream car. I'd feel good in a military assult vehicle. No more road rage.

Who would you take on your dream date?I think Nate Bracher's mom.

Who is the comedian on the 2008 gymnastics team?Justin Celenza

Favorite breakfast food? Plain crepes with whipped cream.

Which gymnastics coach has the best sense of humor? Definately, Coach Matune.

What is something you do not want to hear from the coach? "Niagara"

Which gymnast is the best dresser on the team? Why? Got to be John Guidotti. My pajama pants revolution has not caught on yet. I may be ahead of the curve.

Where is your favorite place to relax? I like to relax in Fogarty's hot tub (Nudye, Nudye)

How do you want the 2008 Lake Park gymnastics team to be remembered? I iek to be remebred as the team that took state and was also All-State Academic.

Please describe your most difficult move and for what event you perform that move. I'd have to say a Front Giant or a Back Uprise L-Cross are my most difficult moves.

What is your personal goal for the 2008 boys gymnastics season?I want to place in the Top 5 at State.
